Will I be self employed?
Agent marketing with ClickReps is the easy way to make money and is the perfect side-hustle! Whether you want agent marketing to become your full-time job, or just a bit of extra cash on the side, you’ll be your own boss! We aren’t your employer, but we’re here to guide you through the process.
The HMRC website has loads of great resources, click here to find out if you need to register as self-employed.
Do I need to pay tax?
The tax you’ll need to pay all depends on the amount of money you earn as a ClickRep and your normal employment (if you have another job). Our ClickReps come from all walks of life and each person’s tax liability is unique. However, in most circumstances, you’ll need to follow the simple process to register as self-employed and declare your income via a yearly Self Assessment.
How do I register?
Registering as self-employed is easy and can be done online via the HMRC website. Once you’re registered, HMRC will send you a letter with your 10-digit Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR). Each year you’ll file a self-assessment tax return online – you can do this yourself, or you can instruct a bookkeeper to do this for you.
More information about registering can be found in the links below.
Do I pay tax if I’m in full-time employment?
Example:
If you are currently employed full-time and receive an annual salary that exceeds the UK’s tax-free allowance of £12,570.
Answer:
Any income you receive from your full-time job will be taxed according to the UK government’s tax guidelines.
Thanks to the ClickReps Agent Marketing Programme, you are eligible for an additional £1000 of tax-free income under the Trading Allowance Agreement. Any earnings above this £1000 will be taxed at your standard tax rate.

Do I get taxed if I’m a student?
Example:
If you are a university student who also works part-time as a delivery driver and earns an annual income of £6000. Additionally, you earn £2500 from the Hybrid Agent Marketing Programme through your role as a ClickRep Agent, bringing your total yearly income to £8500.
Answer:
The short answer is no, you pay no tax.
Since you reside in the UK, you are eligible to earn up to £12,570 tax-free, therefore you will not be obligated to pay any taxes or national insurance since your earnings fall below the tax threshold.
